This blog was inspired by a friends blog that really got me a little annoyed I suppose. she recently posted a blag stating that she "Don't give a damn about them".
To be honest I was rather put off by her lack of spirit and support for her country! I love Canada, I am VERY proud to be a Canadian. I love watching the Olympics and seeing how good we are doing. Just yesterday Canada won 4 Medals. Two of which came from the same sport (Gold and Silver in Womens 2 person Bobsleigh) . And tonight our Womens hockey team will be facing off against the USA for the Gold Medal and you can bet your ass I will be glued to the big screen watching every second of it. The Winter Olympics is one of my favorite televised sporting events, it contains my two favorite sports Hockey and Curling. Both of which Canada kicks ass at.
I am baffled everyday by the amount of people who don't care about the Olympics and frankly don't care if we even medal. Currently Canada is sitting 4th with 15 medals, 7 of which are Gold. Sure the Americans are doing better but they have a shit load of bronze medals, I would rather my country be amazing at a few sports then mediocre at a whole bunch. And if tonight goes as planned you can add another gold medal.
Yesterday, after winning 4 medals in one day and having our mens hockey team kick some Russian ass I must say I was damn Proud to be Canadian!
For those of you that don't care about the Olympics and how your country does....shame on you. I support Canadian Olympic athletes 100% and even more so for the ones that are from Manitoba!!

My Two Favorite Men
I don't particularly like men with 'J' names....I find they are never the right guy for me. But there are two men out there with 'J' names that I truly have a connection with.

Coupled
Lately I have been in a funny kind of mood. I've been listening to a lot of songs that have a general theme of Love to them. Not sure if its cause my least favorite holiday is fast approaching and I'm once again dateless or because I'm slowly realizing how badly I want to be a couple.
I enjoy being in a relationships, weather it be with been someone of the same sex who is just a friend or a member of the opposite sex who is a significant other. I will admit that I am very much a co-dependent person, I need people around and I greatly dislike being alone. This is part of the reason why I still live at home, moving out means being alone and that's just not right for me.
With Valentines Day right around the corner I find myself wanting more and more to be a couple. I have lots of couple friends, many are even married or engaged and this just makes me want to be part of them even more. I desire that feeling of belonging and I hate that I'm very often a third wheel. Now don't get me wrong i'm not going to go and become one of those people who obsesses over finding a man. I did that once and it was a disaster. I'm much more content waiting for the right person to come along, and yes I do believe there is a right person for me. We just haven't found each other yet.
Also this blog is not me complaining about being single, I enjoy being single its fun to go out and not worry about anything. Its fun to actually try to look good just in case I meet a guy. But I enjoy being coupled much more then I do being single. Life is short so I will enjoy whatever I have at the moment I have it. Right now for me that means enjoying being single and having fun and spending as much time as possible with those I love.
And if you want to know who I love then you obviously don't know me...those that I love, I always tell them so.

Day Drinking/Day Drunk
Lately I have been a little obsessed with the concept of Day Drinking or being Day Drunk. Also Morning Beers.
There's a show on MTV called Peak Season, it's about young hot people living in Whistler, BC. They introduced me to the concept of Morning Beers, which is really just having a beer in the morning usually post-hangover. They then got me hooked on Day Drinking, which is my new favorite thing. Now I work during the day so its kind of hard for me to be Day Drunk. (this is a good thing) But I have decided that the weekend Chelsea and I go to Brandon to visit Ashley, we WILL be getting Day Drunk on Saturday and we will continue our drinking into the night.
I realize this makes me sound like I have a serious problem but I swear I don't. I just really wanna be drunk in the middle of the day, I think it would bring me back to high school when I used to go to afternoon classes drunk and or stoned. I was a good kid, I swear. I just enjoyed being stupid, and lets face it classes are boring...thus I was a Day Drinker. haha.
That's really all I had to say...not exciting at all, but I'm OK with that.
